Mortgage Tid Bit

Today's rock- bottom mortgage interest rates won't last forever!

A 1% increase in interest rates would mean a 10% increase in your monthly payment.

Now is the time to Seize the Market.

Culture in Cumming

The Cumming Playhouse is located in the heart of downtown Cumming offering many main stage plays as well as various concerts representing an array of music styles, blues & jazz, classical, bluegrass and country.

Tam’s Backstage Restaurant is located on the lower level of the playhouse and offers an atmosphere of a Broadway Pub.  There is also open air dining in the Historic Garden, an area filled with the old flower and shrubs and two additional catering rooms for larger crowds.

Below is a list of plays and events:

Not Gossip - Real News...

I found it pretty interesting that the founder of the For Sale by Owner website sold his home (apartment) recently using a real estate agent!  He even is reported to have paid the traditional 6% broker commission.

How is this considered news and not just merely gossip?  Well, it just proves that without an agent, everyone trying to sell their house without a professional that knows the market area guiding them to make the right pricing, staging and marketing choices for their property will be like a fish floundering in shallow water.

In his case, his agent says he priced his place to low (now THAT'S ironic) and wasn't attracting the right buyer.  More proof of my case in point.

We can all learn from "he who shall not be named" and realize that some FSBO properties sell, yes, but a good many don't - so why waste time?  Call an agent today!

Woof...Woof...

On June 15 as the City of Johns Creek officially opened the Newtown Dream Dog Park, located at Newtown Park in Johns Creek.  The park features sprinklers for dogs to play in, obstacles for them to run through, over and around, plus water fountains for people and pets, shelters, benches, shade trees, and a walking trail around the perimeter.

It is also within walking distance of one of my listings - an excellent location!  For more information visit:  http://www.johnscreekga.gov/services/parks/parks/dogpark.aspx

TRAFFIC WARNING - AUGUST 11-14

The 93rd PGA Championship will be held at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek beginning August 11 through the 14th.  What's so astonishing is that the city of Johns Creek expects 35,000 visitors to the area during the tournament.  Now for any of you that know this area....my, my, that is going to be some traffic nightmare!  So if you are not attending, I advise you to STAY AWAY!

On the upside, the last time Johns Creek hosted, they generated $50 million in revenue for the region - not to shabby.

Do you like golf?  The Johns Creek/Alpharetta area has hosted some elite tournaments and has fantastic courses to play and also in which to live.  Check it out!
